Incubus: If Not Now, When?

I was reading through Saab’s blog when something made my eyes pop out of their sockets and made my mouth open wide. It was this picture:

I named it "tae to" so that my Gerpren May wouldn't have any idea what I was sending her through Skype. She loves Incubus, too.

I have never been to a concert all my life and if I could, I would really take my first chance at my favorite band’s concert here in the Philippines! I’m pretty sure the tickets will be quite costly but it’s still in July, I’ll have time to save up some money. (Hopefully I can ’cause I really want to see them perform live.)

Ooh, well… Bathala na. God it’s up to you if you’ll let us see it. But I hope you’ll gratify my simple wish. ;)

Church Fights For Their Belief Even If It Means Bloody War

I don’t understand why these priests would rather have war when their reason for opposing the RH Bill is to SAVE LIFE. I don’t see the reason why they are angered by the bill when all it promotes is safe sex and healthy living.

Safe sex promotes good family planning that will keep couples from bearing more babies beyond their financial situation. It will prevent sexually transmitted diseases from infecting people — young and old. It may prevent overpopulation, poverty and crimes since people will somehow be able to suffice their families’ needs.

Contraceptive pills, condoms, IUD, calendar, among many others, aren’t really promoting abortion. In abortion, the babies are already formed and are murdered by forcing them out of their mothers’ wombs. In birth control, sperm and egg cells are prevented to meet, to keep them from fertilizing.

The church says it is God’s teaching to multiply. But that was so long ago when the world was just created, which is way different than now that human beings have already multiplied and multiplied and multiplied and multiplied and…

How will they know the country people’s condition when they’re just inside their large, elegant, and grand churches, not seeing the people outside in the real world.

So much for morality… When immorality is seen even inside their churches.

“If you want to teach morals, you have to be moral yourself.”

Why Do People Have Facebook?

Facebook, as we all know, is a very popular social networking site found by Mark Zucherberg. Almost every person in the world has Facebook accounts. According to CheckFacebook.com, there are already 608,709,140 Facebook users as of February 12, 2011. The most number of users are in the United States with 148,867,700 total users. The Philippines is 5th on the list with 22,316,340 total users. But why do all of these 608,709,140 Facebook users have Facebook anyway?

Because…

(a) they want to use it to connect with other people around the world – whether their purpose is to get an online partner, online customers, or to deceive easy targets online;

(b) they want to keep in touch with old friends, classmates, relatives, and acquaintances – whether their purpose is to just talk about the old times; or what’s new; or their boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands, wives, flings, bosses;  or jobs, how much money they have, what car they drive, how big their house is, and how grand and glam their party is;

(c) it’s “in” and others have Facebook so they think they  MUST also have an account even though they don’t know why they should and how it’s used anyway;

(d) they want to spy on their so-called friends, family, relative, cheating partners, and work rivals;

(e) they want to get updates about what their friend’s been doing, where their old classmate’s going, and their ex’s relationship status;

(f) they want to flaunt their new gadgets – whether they bought them themselves or they were given by their parents or older siblings or their rich partners;

or

(g) they just want to have an outlet of what they think, how they feel, and what they’ve learned recently.

Whatever your reason is, it doesn’t really matter. Just enjoy Facebook. It should never be a reason for broken relationships (any kind of relationships) and for self-centered tactics to deceive people and benefit from their naivety.

For me, Facebook is an outlet  - mostly. (It doesn’t mean I don’t have those reasons above, because I honestly do have a few of ‘em). How about you? Why do you have Facebook?
