This summer vacation, McDonald’s is holding a workshop for kids ages 6-12. It is the McDonald’s Kiddie Crew Workshop. It’s a 5-day workshop with lots of different activities such as manning the restaurant, learning values and doing art projects. It’s on-going until May 20th. (I’m not sure though if the registration’s still open.)
My son, Titus, belonged to Batch 3 along with my brother’s son Euan and his wife’s cousin’s daughter Jhem-Jhem. They started last April 25th and they just had their Graduation yesterday morning. The said graduation was only for the 3rd batch in Cabuyao Branch. They’ll have their Graduation day at SM Sta. Rosa Event Center on May 7th.
These are what they did for 4 days:
Day 1 – Teamwork
They were divided in several groups and were toured in McDonald’s kitchen. Then they learned this year’s Kiddie Crew song Make It Happen. Ate Kathy read them a story about teamwork. After that, they were divided once again into groups and each group was designated to different tasks: greet customers at the door, assist at the counter, and wipe tables and chairs. Titus and Euan were assigned at the door. When they were done, they had Coke and Hamburgers that my nephew did not enjoy. (He never enjoyed his snacks since he doesn’t like burgers and spaghetti.)

They were given a McDonald's Kiddie Crew shirt, a bullcap, an ID card, and a backpack - all included in the Php550.00 fee!
Day 2 – Hardwork
They practiced their McDonald’s song. They were divided into groups again and Titus’ group was assigned at the counter. Each of the kids was given a picture puzzle and a box of 8-piece Crayola for their art project. When they had finished coloring, Kuya Christian lectured them about hardwork and taught them the McDonald’s dance (have no idea what the title is
but that’s really cute.) They had spaghetti and Coke today.
Day 3 – Discipline
They practiced singing and dancing first before they were divided into groups. Titus’ group assisted at the counter and wiped tables and chairs. For their art projects, they decorated their own McDonald’s tumblers! They had pineapple juice and hamburger for snacks.
Day 4
It was their 4th day and it was almost their graduation day! So they practiced singing and dancing again. Titus wiped tables with his group members then they colored another Ronald McDonald and gang’s picture. They all had Coke and spaghetti.
Day 5 – Graduation Day!
Five years more and…
