Learning new things is one of the things I enjoy. These past few months, I’ve been spending my free time learning different sorts of stuff.
Last year, I began learning how to use Adobe Photoshop. As time went by, I somehow gained more knowledge and I’m quite better than before.
I really have my heart set on arts but arts isn’t interested in me. My father’s got the talent. My brother inherited three-quarters of the talent. And I only got a quarter. 
I love to doodle and to draw cartoon characters. Though I’m not a professional, I still want to keep doing it to somehow improve my so-called skill.
I love to edit videos or make slideshows. But I wanted to use a more astig video editor other than Windows Movie Maker.
So I downloaded Adobe After Effects. But man was it hard! It’s too complicated for a novice like me.
So I downloaded Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 instead. I watched tutorials on YouTube so I would know the basic instructions. The first trick I learned was the “Duplicate” effect, which duplicates your subject in one video.
I still have some items on my “Things-to-Learn” list that I haven’t fulfilled yet. Some of them are:
- sewing (I am currently cooking up a new plan that I can spend my time on and that I can earn some money from. For now, I can’t tell what it is. Anyway, it’ll surely be posted as soon as it’s positive.)
- playing the guitar (I am a frustrated musician. I love to sing and I know I’d enjoy music more if I could play the guitar while singing. I tried to learn it but I failed. My pinkies are too short which makes it difficult for me to reach some cords. But recently, I just thought, “Hey, why can’t I? There are smaller guitars anyway. And there lots of lefties out there who can play the guitar.)
- cooking and baking (Well, if I love to eat then I must know how to cook, mustn’t I?)
There still are a lot more to learn. As I get older, surely, a lightbulb will appear above my head again as bright as the sun.
I’m not aiming to be a professional whatsoever. I just want to have this feeling of satisfaction and happiness that I get from learning new things.
